The Cavy Schedule includes competitions for Boars, Sows, Intermediates, Juniors and Babies and is run by the Hobart Cavy Club Inc.

Pet Classes
Please be in attendance by 9am with judging commencing at 9.30am sharp.
Junior classes: Under 18yo
Senior classes: 18+
Entry Fees: Hobart Cavy Club Member $8 per pet, Non Hobart Cavy Club Members $10 per pet

J or S1 – Fancy Dress – Costume Party (cavies will be judged on their individual costumers – no extra props or dioramas)
J or S2 – Cutest Face
J or S3 – Cleanest Pet
J or S4 – Most Interesting Coat
J or S5 – Judge’s Favourite
Best & Reserve Pet Cavy in Show
Combined Junior & Senior Classes
6 – Best & Reserve Huon Valley Pet
7 – Best & Reserve Non Huon Valley Pet
8 – Best & Reserve HCC Member Pet
9 – Best & Reserve Non HCC Members Pet
Additional Information:
- 2 x pet cavies per handler at the Show table
- Cavies MUST have their entry number sticker placed on one ear, or if a longhair variety, on the animal’s show may/board.
- If you don’t have a suitable carpet mat for showing, then a small clean folded towel may be used.
- Cavies must have nails trimmed, be clean and free of mites / lice.
- Any Cavy deemed to be infested or unhealthy will be asked to leave the area
- Cavies must be kept secure in a pet carrier when not at the judging table.
- Entry fees into the Showgrounds are the responsibility of the competitor.
