At the recent meeting of the Huon Agricultural Society the tough decision was made to cancel the 75th Huon Show scheduled for the 13 November 2021. This is the second time that the Huon Show has been cancelled in its 75 year history.
The decision not to proceed with the 2021 Huon Show has again not been taken lightly by the Committee. The large amount of uncertainty during the planning of the Show has proved challenging along with the current restrictions from the Tasmanian Health Department. The current restrictions that events are required to follow make the success of our event unviable for the Society.
Despite our show not being scheduled until November 2021 the Committee of volunteers begin the preparation and planning for our event ten months in advance to ensure that we are providing the best possible experience on Show Day.
Whilst we may not be holding the Show, we are actively investigating what competitions we may be able to run in November. More information on these will be provided as details are firmed up by the Committee.
We are looking forward to the 2022 Huon Show, as we celebrate our 76th birthday and everything that the Huon Valley has to offer.
