The Huon Agricultural Society Inc. has always provided an array of free entertainment at the Huon Show.
The 2009 Huon Show will be no exception. Make Believe Entertainment, the popular children’s show will be back again this year. In 2008, a marquee was for entertainment purposes positioned on the main arena and this will again happen at the 2009 Show.
Unfortunately the bullock team from the North West Coast will be unable to appear at the Show this year, hopefully we will be able to have this attraction in a future Show.
A feature this year will be a performance by the Royal Australian Navy Rock Band on Stage.3 on the Northern side of the arena
The Animal Nursery will be operated by the Kingborough-Huon Rural Youth Club and another feature of the Show conducted by the Rural Youth Club will be the Dog High Jump. This feature always attracts a large crowd and is a very popular event on the day.
Other attractions will include the art of wooden boat building, vintage machinery displays, bands and much more.
Woodchopping is a major spectator event that is well worth watching
Smiff's Puppets will be back and a Tribal Dancing Display will be on Stage area 2 again
Eddie Freeman, Unique Chainsaw carver will be demonstrating his skills. Look out for the Vintage Machinery Display.
Baby Care Marquee will be near the Homecrafts Pavilion again providing baby feeding and changing facilities
